Despite – or perhaps because – Summer is on its way, we seem to have had many rainy spells that have meant the trails aren’t quite as dry and dusty as we’d like. It’s important to recognise the efforts of those – Peak District MTB members included – who are out there with mattocks and spades maintaining these trails for all users.
Here’s some pictures from earlier this month when volunteers were improving the drainage on Derwent Edge towards Whinstone Lee Tor and further down the hill towards Ladybower. More trail maintenance sessions will be arranged in future and volunteers are always needed. Contact us if you’d like to be involved.
