Lyme Park peak district mountain bike riders

Lyme Trail dig days – can you help?

We’re delighted to see the great progress our friends at Lyme are making with opening up additional access for mountain  bikers. Can you help with creating the new trails?

The National Trust’s Graham Clark has arranged the following provisional dates for dig days and would love more volunteers:

  • Saturday April 6th
  • Sunday April 28th
  • Sunday May 26th

The days are 10:00am – 15:00 (latest). Meet at the Knott Car Park (see map below). To get to the Knott Car Park, either cycle up West Park Drive, or come along the main tarmac driveway, past the main car park, over the cattle grid and continue to the end. Tools and safety equipment provided, but please bring lunch. If you think you can help out on any of these days, please contact Graham via email.

Just search for ‘Lyme’ on our website for previous news about mountain biking on the estate.

A final word from Graham:

“…many thanks to those who have been out and helped so far – without the work you are putting in there would be no trail.”
