Peak District MTB backs Mental Health Awareness week

Ride, repair, care for more than just the trails as Peak District MTB backs Mental Health Awareness week.

We all have difficult times in our lives, and we all need someone to talk to or somewhere to escape to. At Peak District MTB we know that mountain biking is a great way for people to build resilient social networks (in person and online), engage with nature and improve their mental wellbeing.

Our mission is to ride, repair, care. This doesn’t just apply to the trails, it applies to our members and all mountain bikers, because we understand getting on your bike for a ride can do wonders for repairing your mental health and caring for those fellow mountain bikers around you.

Do you have a story to tell about how mountain biking in the Peak District has helped tackle challenges in your life and improve your mental wellbeing?

It’s a really difficult subject for many to approach, so we get that not everyone wants to shout about personal challenges and difficulties, however if you are happy and confident to share your personal journey around how mountain biking has improved your mental health for the your own benefit and that of your family and friends please get in touch, your story could inspire 1000s more.

Email us with your story and one of the Peak District MTB committee will be in touch.
