On Saturday 21st October 2023, the event starts and finishes from Hope Valley College in Hope, with a choice of riding three routes; 23, 24 or 43 miles, with up to 2,100m of climbing. As well being a great ride, there’s the opportunity to raise money for a great cause.
“Completely planned, organised and managed by the British Heart Foundation, this event exists in order to raise funds for our life saving research. This year we are asking you all to try and raise at least £350 to make a difference. Creating an online fundraising page is the easiest way to raise money. It takes a few minutes to set up and a link can then be easily shared with your friends and family on social media and by email.”

Peak District MTB always supports this perennial favourite; our members regularly volunteer for marshalling duties, and we hope this year will no exception. Volunteers are an essential part of making these events happen, and we are always grateful to those who help marshal. There’ll also be a few goodies for you if you get out there to help on the day.
So if you can, please help out, as working with the charity has been a big help to Peak District MTB. Their support has helped us to develop better and lasting relationships with landowners and secure permissive access. So if you can volunteer on the day we’d love to hear from you. Email info@peakdistrictmtb.org and we’ll send you more details.
Thanks to the BHF who kindly donate to Peak District MTB to help us maintain the Peak District trails. Thanks also to our committee member James of Bike Garage who generously provides e-bikes to the sweepers.
