Bridleway Trail Maintenance 2021

Peak District MTB returned to digging in 2021, with our trail maintenance work totalling approximately 317 volunteer hours over 7 locations. Many thanks to all the volunteers who gave up their time and helped to maintain the bridleways of the Peak District, not just for fellow mountain bikers, but also to the benefit of horse riders, walkers and runners.

Dan continued our maintenance at the Staffordshire Roaches working alongside Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. James led the work in the Hope Valley and Ladybower areas, in conjunction with Martyn, the Peak District National Park ranger, and Adam of Severn Trent Water, completing our work on the new permissive access at Elmin Pits.

Our next two dig day dates are:

  • Sunday January 9th 2022 – 9am meet at Gradbach, Roaches (Staffordshire).
  • Thursday 27th January 2022 – Cranberry Clough (Slippery Stones-Cut Gate), Meeting at King’s Tree, Howden (Hope Valley).

Thank you for all your feedback on the work that we and our volunteers do, it is greatly appreciated. And if you like the work we do, but cannot attend dig days, you may want to support us by donating or considering other ways to help.
