Winnats in a Minute fundraising at Sheffield Adventure Film Festival

The Peak District National Park Foundation are raising money for Peak District MTB at the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival the weekend of March 20th – 22nd. Using a watt bike and footage of Winnats Pass, the challenge is to cycle as far up the virtual pass as possible in one minute. The aim is to raise money for mountain bike trail maintenance days.

The Sheffield Adventure Film Festival is a great weekend, and we’re delighted that the Peak District National Park Foundation has chosen this event to kindly raise money for Peak District MTB as part of their #70kfor70 fundraising campaign. There’ll be raffles too, so head along and win a prize whilst raising money to keep the Peak District trails in tip-top condition.

About the Peak District National Park Foundation

“The Peak District National Park should be enjoyed and conserved by everyone. It should be a vibrant, colourful, and safe home for the wildlife we all love.

Our right to enjoy the National Park was hard won by ordinary folk. In that spirit, let’s fight to make it ever more accessible, for everyone to enjoy.

But it is also unique and very fragile; we must always – always – strive to keep it special.

This is what we believe – and why we exist. With your support, we can start to make good things happen.

Like you we’re passionate about the Peaks. There’s much to celebrate in 70 years of UK National Parks, particularly as the Peak District was the first. But with the challenges of climate change, habitat and nature loss now is the time to raise our ambition for the future. That’s where our #70kfor70 campaign comes in. With your help we’re raising £70k for a range of conservation and access projects across the Peaks amazing 555 square miles from moorland restoration to junior ranger kit we want to inspire everyone to Explore Enjoy Support our National Park”

Sounds like a great fundraising event at the fabulous Sheffield Adventure Film Festival. Hope you can come along.
