Hope Valley Mountain Bike Challenge

The annual Hope Valley Mountain Bike Challenge was run on Saturday 24th September 2016. This year the participants could choose from 2 tough off-road routes of either 14 or 28 miles around the beautiful Hope Valley and beyond.

The event was aimed at experienced mountain bikers, with the technical routes taking in some of the area’s most iconic trails such as ‘The Beast’, Jaggers Clough, Edale, Jacobs Ladder, Hayfield, Hollins Cross and Mam Tor.

There were three of feed stations (Edale, Hayfield, Rushup Edge), where the riders were supplied with home-made cakes and drinks. At the finish (at Hope Valley College) hot soup, a roll and other refreshments were available.

This years Hope Valley Mountain Bike Challenge is to take place on the 23rd September 2017!
