Please help us learn more about mountain biking and other activities in the Goyt Valley by completing and sharing our survey. This will help us better understand opportunities for improving mountain bike access in the area and volunteer trail maintenance.
Where is the Goyt Valley and is it any good for mountain biking?
Located a couple of miles northwest of Buxton in the Western Peak District, the Goyt Valley is a fabulous location for many outdoor activities, close to National Cycle Routes such as the Pennine Cycleway.
There are mountain bike routes that go through the Goyt Valley but the area is limited for bridleways and other permissive rights of way for mountain biking. Good data helps drive rights-of-way discussions with relevant stakeholders in the area, hence our survey.
The data collected in this survey will help Peak District MTB better understand the habits of mountain bikers and other user groups visiting the Goyt Valley, and identify opportunities for sustainable development of mountain biking in the area.
