Last month we published the results of our Roaches Mountain Biking Survey.
Do you want to know what else has been going on?
Well, we’ve been in discussions with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust about initiatives to improve access, maintain what is already there (there are some boggy sections!) and promote the existing permissive routes. These initiatives are summarised in our Roaches Mountain Biking proposal, and we welcome feedback about it, either via our Facebook page or email.
The Roaches Estate is a relatively small area, but holds great potential as a mountain biking venue in its own right and as a gateway to some excellent riding in the south west Peak District. Cycling UK have given this project their backing, which is great news.
What happens next?
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust are on-board with the suggestions we’ve made and we’re in regular contact with them to move this along. These things can take time, but we’ll keep you posted of developments. Hopefully this is just the beginning of something very positive.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the survey and took time to talk to us about mountain biking at the Roaches.
