Last week we posted some news on track resurfacing on Whinstone Lee Tor but there has been a little confusion about exactly where this maintenance will be taking place. To confirm, it is the footpath from Whinstone Lee Tor up towards the Salt Cellars, from grid reference SK198874 to SK196893.
Being a footpath there is no right of way for mountain bikers, but the plans from Moors of the Future Partnership show a thoroughness that is encouraging should the Partnership commence on the Cutthroat bridleway maintenance. A quick search has turned up this tender document which details the location and the specification of the works, although we’ve not approached Moors for the Future Partnership to confirm all the details in this document are still applicable.
